Grew up fishing south and central Florida back in the 60s and 70s. Moved out of Florida in early 80s. Been decades since bass fishing this area. Was in Kissimmee on business with time to kill. Called Captain Bill and set up a charter. One of the best fishing days I’ve enjoyed in many many years. Captain Bill put me on fish within minutes. Caught some brutes. He knows his fishing area like a true pro. Will be calling him again next trip to Florida. |

Went out with my son and had a blast!!!! We caught a ton of fish !!! Captain Bill was so helpful and very fun to be with. The price was the best around for the trip and the bait. If you plan a trip make sure you have plenty of bait because you are going to catch some big fish and lots of them. We had such a good time on Thursday we booked a cancellation he had for Friday. We went fishing with Bill yesterday, April 10th, we caught 16 Black Bass from 3 to 10 pounds, it was awesome. Bill is a fantastic guide and knew a lake Toho like the back of his hand. We had never fished with shiners before, but Bill showed us the techniques, and we really enjoyed learning a new way to catch bass. A+1 rating from us and I can guarantee that the next time we come back to Florida, Bill will be out guide. I asked him about the weekend, but he was already booked up. Very informative guide who really knows how to catch bass. Thanks again Bill. |

Captain Bill Whipple was just a name on a website when we left Louisville Kentucky, but before we were done fishing we knew him as “Wild Bill in the White Boat” we caught fish all day. My wife had the opportunity to catch lots of fish too! The icing on the cake was the 8.25 lb. Bass and we gained a friend in Captain Wild Bill. Thanks and we will see you soon!

Every time we come to Orlando we make it a point to book an excursion with Captain Bill. He is extremely knowledgeable about the lake and puts us on fish every time. Yesterday (12/13/18) he took us to an area of the lake that brought a fish on every cast for at least 20 casts! While this isn't typical it's what he strives for on every trip. Not only is Captain Bill a great guide, he's also a lot of fun. He connects with everyone in the group and has some great stories. |

Captain Whipple took me and two of my sons out on lake Toho today (7/24/18). I found Captain Whipple by googling best guides in Orlando area. Immediately after speaking with him (the actual captain and not a booking agent) I knew he was going to get us on fish. He had that enthusiasm that I share when fishing in my home state of PA. We started early and immediately found fish. Bill told us everything we needed to know as well as some history and current events in Florida and regarding the Lake itself. While we caught fish and some very nice ones the best two things I can say about Captain Whipple is his enthusiasm and enjoyment in seeing us hook into fish and simply his overall company. A fun guy, a true fisherman, and a great captain. Had a great day with Captain Bill. He’s a straight shooter and will work hard to get you what you’re looking for.

We had cold tough conditions for fishing but captain Bill knows the lake very well and got us to the fish. For tough conditions ie 40 degrees we caught fish and Captain Bill worked hard to get us fish and fish we got.

I booked a bass fishing trip on March 14th 2017 and the weather was very windy 10 to 25 MPH. But that did not affect the catch. Caught many fish (17) plus others like gar and dog fish. took some nice photos and threw all the extra over the limit fish back.
Captain Bill get's you on fish. I was very satisfied, he does a great job as a guide.

Captain Bill Whipple is one great guide and will take care of you. I have fished with a number of guides over the years but Captain Bill truly stands out. The fishing at Lake Toho is the best I have ever seen and I attribute this to Bill's knowledge of the lake. Conditions can change daily and Bill really knows this lake. My wife is not an early riser and Bill was able to get the bait and have everything ready before we joined him and had a great time. Roughly 14 large mouths made it to the boat. This is really my favorite place to fish and with my favorite guide. Cannot wait until next time. |

This was my third guided bass fishing trip with Captain Bill Whipple and the first for my friend, who was on short leave from the US Air Force. We fished with wild shiners on West Lake Toho and were on the bass immediately!
My friend landed his personal best and I lost count how many bass we caught in total. We also caught a huuuuge bowfin, saw Bald Eagles, rare Snail Kites (hawks) up close, and a couple of gators.
Best of all, my friend was able to get in dozens of reps at setting the hook with live bait. I was hoping for a high numbers day for that very reason and we got it. Captain Bill provided pro tips throughout the day which will absolutely be utilized for a lifetime. Take note Florida residents: if you think you have live bait fishing down, I suggest you take a guided trip on nearby Lake Toho for a master class with Captain Bill Whipple. |

From: Jay & Sonja - Just wanted to say Captain Bill is the man for great fishing while in the St. Cloud area. We actually had a BIG fish hooked and the rod went into the lake while Captain Bill was tending to the boat. Poor fella wanted to jump in & get it, but it just wasn't in the cards that particular day. About an hour or so after our excursion he called us back to tell us how he found the rod along with a 5# Bass tangled in the weeds. We're glad you got your rod back Captain Bill and wanted to tell you thanks again for a great fishing excursion. |

From: Scott Earls - Boy we sure did enjoy our trip with you yesterday! Fishing was good early; then a little later on I caught a 7.95 – which is my personal best!!! (which was 7.0 almost 10 years ago. I finally topped it!!!)
You were a terrific guide! Here are just a few things that I noticed:
* You were right on time and ready to go first thing in the morning
* Your boat was in excellent condition and was VERY clean – and you kept it that way all morning long
* Your fishing equipment was prepared and ready to go; and you had everything we needed
* You always kept us in the most productive areas to fish – which was a lot of work at times
* You (somehow) saw us getting hits when dad and I both had no clue at times
* You taught us how to catch fish with live bait and heavy equipment (something us mid-westerners had no clue about)
* You were especially patient with me when I made mistakes
* You were especially considerate of dad knowing that he doesn’t see very well
* And you were very pleasant to be with and visit with.
Honestly, you did everything and much more than we expected from a fishing guide! Thanks for such a great day of fishing!

From: Joe McLachlan - Hello Captain Bill, I just have to tell you I loved the time my son John and I spent together with you. The entire time we spent at TOHO was a blast of fun. He caught some big bass that morning. I''ll never forget when you showed him how to set the hook with that shiner on the other end. He ripped it so hard that he pulled a buck bass over the top of the boat 20 feet and the fish landed in the opening of the creek mouth. Then we moved a bit to the Spanish hydrilla beds and then you set him up to catch the big one. I was so proud at that moment and I owe it to you Bill. What an excellent time we had. Redneck fishing can sure be fun. I have no plans to be back at Disney soon but I remember quite well how I felt fishing in Central Florida. Let''s keep in touch. I will send you the picture attachment of John and the big one he caught this week perhaps. Dropped off camera at Wal-Mart...Never got it back but I swear tomorrow. |

From: Chi-Town Zed - I booked our fishing trip with Cptn. Bill for early August and we had an AWESOME expierience!!! I was a little worried about it being the begining of the hottest time of the year but Cpt Bill GUARANTEED a great time and boy did he come through! There is no more informative, people friendly person than Cpt Bill. He knew exactly where to go and took the time to tell us what to do get those big bass out!! If I had to mention any downfall from this outing it would be that I ruined the rest of fishing year back home in Chicago because I have NEVER pulled out any fish like I did that day. This was our fist time out with Cpt Bil and it will NOT be our last. HIGHLY RECOMMENED!!! |

But most of all I want to thank you for taking great care of my father, at 87 he does not get around like he use to and you took the extra time to help him in and out of the boat and along the dock, just like he was your father and I do thank you for that (he thinks you are great also)
Your Great help and the fishing made this trip the BEST fishing trip in the last 40 years fishing in Florida.
